The most watched and the most recorded solar eclipse in history.
Yesterday 21st August people across the world were treated to the rare spectacle of the theatrical dance of the sun and the moon in the Celestial Theatre of the Heavens. People across the globe tuned in to watch live streaming of the awesome astronomical show.
In the traverse across America which took one and a half hours, the moon chased the sun across the sky to align with it in total eclipse. Starting at the Western Coast in Lincoln Beach, Oregan at 10:16 a.m. PST and ending on the East Coast in South Carolina near Columbia at 2:44 p.m. EST. Travelling at the speed of 2,400 mph the show passed through parts of 14 states.
